GET OUT ON THE WATER
As Islanders, seawater is practically in our blood. And there’s no better way to truly get to experience our way of life than by getting out on the water and having experienced locals show you the ropes. Whether it’s hopping aboard a stand-up paddleboard with Paddles or getting your adrenaline pumping with Flyboard PEI & Seadoo Adventures, we’ve got something for every taste, preference, and thrill-level. Of course, the perfect way to end any ocean adventure is to treat yourself to an ice cream cone afterward. Famous COWS at Peake’s Wharf is always a delight or head to local fav Kiwanis Dairy Bar in Victoria Park.

The heart of Prince Edward Island can be felt in our vibrant music scene, with live acts presented in an array of outdoor and cozy settings. Take in an intimate performance by local talent at the Trailside Music Hall or settle in on one of our patios for an evening of live acoustic entertainment.
EAT SEAFOOD UNTIL YOUR HEART’S CONTENT
With few exceptions, we Islanders are passionate about our PEI seafood. The warm waters surrounding our fair province teem with fresh fish and our fishers work tirelessly to bring in big catches throughout the year. So it’s practically our duty to enjoy the fruits of their labour, right? Right. So whether it’s a plate of freshly shucked oysters, steamed mussels or a lobster boil with all the fixin’s, there are no shortage of restaurants serving up fresh local fare, like Claddaugh Oyster House, Merchantman Fresh Seafood & Oyster Bar, Dave’s Lobster, and Lobster on the Wharf, among others.

PEI is known for being a leader in the environmental movement and since Charlottetown was designed pre-car era, it’s super easy to get around by foot or bicycle. Whether it’s checking out all of the public art on display throughout the city, taking in a ghost walking tour with the Confederation Players, or hearing legends and folklore with the Secrets of Charlottetown Walking Tour, there are plenty of ways to see the city with your two feet and a heartbeat. For those more inclined to explore on two wheels, Fun Wheel Rentals is a great choice for bike rentals within the city or you can experience some of the best trails on the Island with Sacred Rides PEI Mountain Bike Tours.

Nothing says “Island Life” quite like a seafood spread and cold craft beer by the water. For a casual drink and local eats, check out The Cork & Cast, one of PEI’s first floating restaurant. Got gourmet pizza cravings? Nimrods’ at Peake’s Wharf has you covered. Peake’s Quay Restaurant & Bar also offers a sprawling deck, cool cocktails, and a large menu. And for the best place to watch the boats come and go with a cold brew in hand, check out the upper deck of Salt & Sol.
